Jody Broomfield uses the gifts of his ancestors along with modern techniques. From conception to completion, the creation of one of these unique carvings is a truly hands on experience.

Only the finest quality materials are used. All of the materials are found on the West Coast of British Columbia. Finding inspiration from his heritage and the beauty of his surroundings, each finished product is a unique and collectable piece.

Two pictures on the left are early stages of a wall panel and moon mask, before the knife even touches the wood there are several stages in preparations, such as blocking, squaring out, and dimensions.

Carving, chiseling, sanding and attention to detail are all paramount in the completion of a carving. Some pieces incorporated precious metals, shells, cedar bark ropes and tuffs. All of Jody's work are gallery quality and ready to be displayed in any environment.
